Memory & settings
Turn on personal long-term memory, manage preferences, and find common account and canvas settings.
Use memory so Agent keeps long-term preferences (default materials, banned colors, tone), and manage account and UI settings in one place.
1. Personal long-term memory
Entry: Settings → Profile → Memory.
| Action | Notes |
|---|---|
| Turn on | Eligible chat content can be saved as long-term memory |
| Add / edit / delete | Maintain facts Agent should always follow |
| Turn off | Personal memory is no longer used in later chats |
Good to store: brand constraints, default materials, target market, preferred output language.
Do not store: passwords, API keys, government IDs, or other secrets.
2. Memory by assistant
The same settings page lists memory entries related to assistants.
When personal memory is off, those personal entries are not used in chat.
3. Other common settings
| Setting | Entry | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Language / theme / notifications | Account settings | UI language, light or dark mode, email notices |
| In-canvas settings | Canvas settings dialog | Canvas-side preferences such as theme |
| Team members and seats | Settings → Team | See Teams & Enterprise |
4. Things to know
| Topic | Notes |
|---|---|
| Memory is not a prompt | Still describe each task clearly in the current chat |
| Edits do not rewrite old images | Only later requests are affected |
| Multi-device | Memory follows your account; clearing browser cache does not delete saved memory |
